Player Wear: Very light general wear (minor if any surface imperfections). It has approximately 98%+ of the copper/gold wash bell finish. It has approximately 99% of the silver finish. The Key Plating: Approximately 99% of the original key plating remains with ![]() Playing Condition: This instrument is currently in very good to excellent playing condition. Instrument Condition: The overall physical condition of this used instrument is excellent. It has great overtones and fantastic intonation. This alto saxophone has that beautiful Buescher “Big B” sound that is so sought after. It comes in a replacement case in good condition. This horn comes with the original neck, which is still in good condition with no evidence of a pull down. U.S.A.” “Buescher” is also engraved on the G# key. Below are the words “The Buescher Aristocrat Made in Elkhart-IND. Near the top of the bell the signature Big “B” is engraved surrounded by scrolling leaves and elaborate engravings. ![]() The engraving on the bell is gorgeous and goes down the entire bell and onto the bow. This horn is a 1940 vintage horn with cut tone holes, ribbon key guards and all of its brown cellulose rollers. The serial number can be found on the back of the body and reads “292946” with the “True-Tone” triangle and tuning fork along with the words “True-Tone Trademark Registered Low Pitch License Pat. It has a tiny dimple to the surface of the D key cover that is as small as the end of a pencil. It has just come back from the shop where it was polished, re-padded, cleaned and adjusted so it plays great. This horn has a polished silver bell and a brushed matte silver body. This The Buescher “Big B” Aristocrat True-Tone alto saxophone is in mint condition with 99% of the original silver plating and a beautiful gold wash bell interior. ![]()
